I've made a little DOS utility (gotta keep my C programming alive)
It's called MovedTo and takes care of and corrects references to renamed parts.
Besides that, it checks and updates the '0 Name:' info if necessary.
If a file has a reference to 'house.dat', the program checks if the file
'house.ldr' exists in the same folder. If so, the reference is automatically
updated. Note that the program doesn't care if house.dat exists or not.
Finally, it checks and changes the '0 Parent:' line if it refers to a dat
file an an ldr file with same name exists.

The program takes no arguments and checks only the dat and ldr files in the
folder from where it is called. It would surprise me if it can handle long
file names.
The far easiest way to use it is to copy it into the folder where the files
to be checked are and just double-click on it.
