First I wondered: how did you manage to save your .mpd in L3Lab?
There's no save function in L3Lab - you cannot modify the model,
so I have explicitly removed Save from the File menu and from the toolbar.
Why would you want to save?
What do you expect to save?
But then it stroked me, did I remember to remove the default Ctrl+S shortcut?
After a glance at the program's resources, I can see I didn't!
And it seems that if you press Ctrl+S you get some default Microsoft MFC
Save function called, which overwrites the file with no contents.
I have uploaded an L3Lab without Ctrl+S (but with .ldr) to
http://home16.inet.tele.dk/hassing/l3lab.html
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, the info is in the POV file, but it is cumbersome to extract it...
Try to compare your .mpd file with the POV file. You'll find the
same numbers, but rearranged and within another format.
