Yep . right.. sometimes. ;).. Especially when it is a more complicated part
with subpart you get rarely a response.
And even in the Lugnet parts tracker people sometimes seem to be scared of
subparts ;).

erhm; the LDraw.org Parts Tracker, you mean? ;)

I usually try to click on the [DAT] link and spin the parts around
in ldglite looking for obvious problems.  I can't do that when the
subfiles are in different posts.  I have to download all the
subfiles and then put them in the right places to try out the part.
I know I don't always have time to do that.

You can make this easier by also posting an MPD version with all the
subfiles in a single post, but some for some parts this might be huge.

Good point.  For LUGNET parts-posts, I'd definitely recommend MPD posting
vs. several separate posts with one file per post.   Any program that can
handle the [DAT] hyperlink can render MPD.

The nice thing about MPD is the complete MPD file isn't much larger than all
the LDR/DAT files put together (because that's all the MPD really is: all
the invidivual files put together).

The horse got a lot easier to play with once it was available as an
all-inclusive zip file offsite, so perhaps that's another worthwhile
alternative.

Hmm.  If the Parts Tracker offered multi-file links, would it be better to
have MPD feeds, or ZIP feeds?
