Right about the following zeros.

I don't know if you are planning any revisions to the gridder, but it would
be nice to be able to specify a "zero" point around which the grid would be
centered.

OK.  I've thought about that, but it's never been a high enough priority
to worry about.  I'll add it to the list.  What you'll be able to do in
LDAO 2.x is to paste the gridder code into the editor (re-select if
necessary), then move the entire selection at once, either with
alt-arrow keys or using the Move Exact function from the menu.

What I'd really like to fix about the gridder is the cut&paste (which
doesn't work very well, if at all).  I always have to select all the
generated code, press ctl-c, then go back to the editor and do a ctl-v.
But cut&paste is a problem program-wide.

Do you know if anyone has integrated the MPD file maker and/or splitter into
LDAO as a tool.  I was just thinking that would be convenient.

The splitter would be easy to integrate--just create a tool for it in
the Tool Manager.  The maker would be hard to integrate directly,
because it requires multiple files.  LDAO only allows you select one
file at a time.

The settings for splitmpd would be:

command line: <path-to-splitmpd> %model%
working dir:  %base%\Models

Then either check Show in Tools Menu or Show as Button.

You'd save the MPD in the ldraw\models directory, and be sure to select
Show All Files from the Options menu.  Then click the MPD file, and run
the splitter tool.

(...) DOH! I just realized this morning this isn't true -- if the MPD Builder is smart enough (the BAT-file I posted to L-CAD is *not* smart). Generally, people want to build MPD's for all the files used in a single model. So the MPD Builder just (...) (26 years ago, 13-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)
