Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Hakan Tandogan
Hi, I'm trying to make a mockup for the small three-leafed plant piece like the one you can find in 7128 Speeder Bikes or 6045 Ninja Surprise. I can't find a part number on the piece itself, and naming it "three-leafed plant thingamajik" wouldn't (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) How about something like Brick 1 x 1 Round with Three Leaves on Side Fredrik (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Excellent, thanks. Any guess on the part number? What are the procedures if the isn't any embedded number on the piece? Regards, Hakan (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Steve Bliss
(...) I'd rather go with Plant Leaves 3 x 3 Bamboo This will make it easier for people to find the part. And Hakan wrote: (...) I have no idea what the number is. Generally, the procedure is that you use whatever name you want for the file. When you (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I agree more with Fredrik on this. In my case, even though I "file" these pieces with my other "vegetation" pieces, I _call_ the thing "a 1x1 round brick with 3 leaves". When you first look at it, that's what you see, an otherwise regular 1x1 (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Steve Bliss
(...) Maybe that's what *you* see. I see a plant piece. I wonder what most people notice? (...) They really should be in a "Wings and Fins" area. ;) Sure, this leaf-piece can be accurately described as a "Brick 1 x 1 Round with 3 Leaves". As you (...)          Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) I understand your desire to put this part in the Plant category. How about this on of these: Plant Brick 1 x 1 Round with Three Leaves on Side Plant Brick 1 x 1 Round with Three Leaves on Side Bamboo Plant Brick 1 x 1 Round with Three Bamboo (...)          Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Steve Bliss
(...) I'm not married to the term 'bamboo'. If anything, I'd rather have a descriptive term for the leaves, like "thin" or "spiky". But I don't think those are necessary, either. How about: Plant Brick 1 x 1 Round with Three Side Leaves (I wanted to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Steve Bliss
(...) Oops. Julie Krenz sent me an e-mail, pointing out that there are other plant pieces which can be described as "brick 1x1 with 3 leaves". So having some indication of the type of piece and/or leaves, beyond the term 'side', would be good. So (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) That's a good point. I think the name above sounds like a good idea. Fredrik (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Yet another Part name and number wanted ;-) —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) With a name like that, I would probably never find the part! ;-) But then again, I'm not a botanist, and didn't know that they were actually bamboo. I would also be very confused by the "3x3" part. I'm, sure the "footprint" of the part is 3x3, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)
