Cool. But are there two tread parts? The one I have does not have the
back of a plate on it, it merely has a planar surface with several holes
in it.

| (...) Do you mean the thingeys which gives the tread the "[" cross section? All my tread links have them, that's for sure. But it may very well be that they were added at a later date for stability, say. Fredrik (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)
