BTW, Onyx, nice job on the Ferraris.  They're very recognizable.
Unfortunately, they don't really match the traditional LEGO car building
style, so they wouldn't work very well with cars designed by other lego
fans...Have you ever tried to fit the wheels under the car as opposed to
tacking them to the outside of the car?

thanks bram... and i agree, they aren't like TLG cars, or even most MOC cars,
but then again, it's LEGO, that's the whole point!..

and putting the wheel within the fender wells just isn't feasable at this
scale.. unless i wanted to use the *tiny* wheels that come mounted on the 2x2's
with side axles.. but then the overall scale becomes so small that you can't
put in enough detail for my taste (they end up looking like TBerger's 355.. no
offense :) , but it's hard to find details on his model that make it scream
"i'm an F355!") so i prefer to just kick the wheels out and then make the body
look as best i can.. i'd try tucking the wheels in if i went up a step in
size.. it's just my style :)

(...) 2x2's (...) Actually the problem therein is not the actual wheels, it's the centering of the individual files. For example, the 4474 plain space cockpit has to be moved 4 spaces downward and 6 spaces inward to connect to the 4315 1x4 hinge (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)
