Isn't is possible to let the water cover the entire plane?

I suppose I could move the models a bit back, and crop the picture
afterwards to get rid of the 'swimming pool' look. The weather is too
good too...

Perhaps adding some ground fog will make the impression of slightly
worse weather?

Nice picture, BTW.  I think I may "borrow" your water-like
POV-instructions later on!  :-)
