You can add your own views right now. You need to edit the ldraw.ini
file, and add a line for each view. Here's the step-by-step version:
- Click Windows' Start button.
- Choose Run...
- Enter 'ldraw.ini' (no quotes), and click OK.
- Choose Search | Find
- Enter '[Views]' (no quotes), and click Find Next. You'll come to a
block lines that looks something like this:
[Views]
Back=-1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,-1
Left=0,0,1,0,1,0,-1,0,0
Right=0,0,-1,0,1,0,1,0,0
Above=0,0,1,1,0,0,0,1,0
Beneath=0,0,1,-1,0,0,0,-1,0
Front=1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,1
Oblique=1,0,1,0.5,1,-0.5,-1,0,1
- Click Cancel to close the Find window.
- At the end of the [Views] section, add the following lines.
UpsideDown=-1,0,1,-0.5,-1,-0.5,1,0,0
Under NW=1,0,1,-0.5,1,0.5,-1,0,1
Above SE=-1,0,-1,-0.5,1,0.5,1,0,-1
Above SW=-1,0,1,0.5,1,0.5,-1,0,-1
- Save and close.
- Run LDAO, and the new views should be included in the view-list.
Here is a set of oblique views that was posted to the L-CAD list some
time ago. I'm sorry, but I don't remember who posted them, and I
don't have my archive with me. Notice that most of Huw's views are
included in this list (except for Upside Down, which I have now added
to my ldraw.ini).
Above NW=1,0,1,0.5,1,-0.5,-1,0,1
Above NE=1,0,-1,-0.5,1,-0.5,1,0,1
Above SW=-1,0,1,0.5,1,0.5,-1,0,-1
Above SE=-1,0,-1,-0.5,1,0.5,1,0,-1
