I have built LDView from scratch in VC++ 2010 on a Win7 (64bit) machine and
the resulting executable works like a charm, both in command line (cygwin),
and from LPub.  Didn't do any changes in the project file, so it must be
something with the building process (or environment) of the original exe.

(...) I'm experiencing similar phenomena on Vista 64-bit. Not sure if it's actually related... I have my own app for generating instructions, which does batch rendering using LDView. I noticed that for rendering images of individual parts, it was (...) (13 years ago, 19-Jan-12, to lugnet.cad)
