(...) I did not know that, I always thought the cmdline is more aimed at the model level, cause they are basically ldraw.exe parameters? But looking at an old ldraw release, the -c param isn't mentioned so additional documentation on the !CMDLINE (...) (14 years ago, 1-Feb-11, to lugnet.cad)

(...) That is why we should stick to the 8.3 length parts file name convention :-) I'm able to run ldraw fully native, on a still operational PC with MS-DOS operating system. (14 years ago, 2-Feb-11, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Even I have given that issue up now. :) I'd say we make a utility program that converts long names and references to them to 8.3 names, for the few special occations that will be necessary. The only thing I can imagine is that the whole library has to be made for that case as there are maybe references that has more than 8.3 filenames. And the result could not be shown on other (...) (14 years ago, 4-Feb-11, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
