Hmm. Is there some reason you couldn't just jump right to using Tan?
Tan(theta) = opposite/adjacent

| (...) Why does the follow-up go to the Robotics group? This is a CAD / LDraw issue, so it should be lugnet.cad.dat.parts. (My mistake in the first place to post it to lugnet.cad ;-) (16 years ago, 29-Sep-08, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) The part file has the dimensions needed to answer this question. The triangles on the sides tell you the width and height of the end. From there you can calculate the length of the hypotenuse. h = sqrt(w*w+h*h) the sin of the angle is (...) (16 years ago, 27-Sep-08, to lugnet.cad)
