Hi again,
Ive uploaded my script. Right now, it exports everything as black, but it
seems to work fine in Ldraw (you can change the color after the fact). If you
run the resultant file through Edger, Ldview will smooth it properly. Also, it
only exports the main object you have selected in Blender.
The next two things to work on are firstly, Id like to incorporate the Edger
code directly into the script. Quite honestly though, I just flat dont know
how Edger does what it does, since Im new to programming, so its above my head
at the moment. Id very much appreciate help in this department.
Also, Ill make it so it exports all the selected objects instead of the primary
selection. That shouldnt be too hard.
Heres an example of what it can do. Left to right is the original piece, the
script output, and the output+edger, all being rendered in LDView.
Maj too, since Flickr seems to be having issues:

To use it, just drop it into your scripts directory in Blender, it will show up
in the menus.

| Hello Stefan, (...) I just tested your script (on VERY simple objects, I'm a complete noob with Blender!), it worked very well. A few things I noticed: - Export color here is not black but color 16. This is the "main color" that should be used for (...) (16 years ago, 16-Jul-08, to lugnet.cad)

| Hi all, I just finished a crude first version of a Blender to Ldraw export script! It's mostly a tweaked version of a tutorial script, but for someone whose brain starts melting whenever I look at code, I'm quite proud. This first version just spits (...)
