Dear List,
I need a clarification concerning a part authoring/reviewing question.
Until recently there were a rule for the part authors, that quads and triangles
having dithered colors must be subfiled. If I remember well this was due to some
limitation in the original Ldraw viewer. But some times ago this obligation has
been revoked. (This is the point where my memory does not serve me well.)
Reviewing unofficial parts I found (among the oldest residents of the Part
Tracker), some parts keeping this recently revoked rule. My question is should
the reviewer put a hold on these parts (and ask the author to re-inline the
colored subfile), or we can live with the old-style subfiling approach.
It would be good if the Standard Committee could present some guidelines in this
topic.
Thanks
Ampi

| (...) While this is no longer a requirement, I feel that parts conforming to the old standard are not wrong and a hold vote based solely on this would probably be excessive. I would, however, make note of it in the review comments. -Orion (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)
