I'm not a fan of bending mini-figures at the knees and elbows or performing other not-physically possible changes to the bodies when modeling -- why use LEGO elements at all if one is (...) (...) Sorry I'm late to this party, but you also use LDLite metastatements. ROTATE and nested blocks make it a lot easier to position minifigs manually.
