LDView 3.2 Beta 1 now available for Mac

For those of you who don't read lugnet.cad or lugnet.announce, I'm posting this message to let you know that the Mac version of LDView 3.2 Beta 1 is now available. Please see (URL) here>. Note that when I first posted the above announcement, I had (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: LDraw.org's May 2007 Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) I modified the style sheet and every thing should look correct for a 1024x768 resolution. -Orion (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Linetrim, a LDraw line trimmer utility

(2 URLs) Linetrim> utility, intended for LDraw parts authors, crops lines sticking out of polygons. Lines to be trimmed and triangles/quads against which they are cropped are provided to the utility as separate LDraw files. A third file containing (...)   Re: LDraw.org's May 2007 Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) As Travis says. On my 1152x864 screen, the pictures still fall out into the right margin when viewing with FireFox. For some reason IE render the text *above* the picture, while FF renders the text at the left side of the picture, thereby (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) It appears that some people read this. There were 13 downloads of the Mac Binary immediately after I posted my official release announcement for LDView 3.2 Beta 1 (one of which was my test download). There were only 3 downloads of each of the (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw.org's May 2007 Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) Note that I don't mind the way it is now, but it's currently only fixed if your browser window is fairly wide. If your browser window is too narrow, it still does the same thing it did before, instead of having scroll bars appear. --Travis (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  *** LDView Version 3.2 Beta 1 Released ***

LDView 3.2 Beta 1 is now available for download from the LDView downloads page here: (URL) This is a Beta release, which means that I’m hoping to get as much feedback as possible. This also means that it is likely not as stable as a final release, (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LDraw.org's May 2007 Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) Thanks for the info. This is now fixed. -Orion (17 years ago, 9-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) Adding -SaveZoomToFit=0 to the LDView command line resolves this problem. Thanks to Travis for the suggestion. Jim (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Missing primitives after part update.

(...) Thanks Steve. I'm not computer illiterate, but I'n not exactly computer fluent either. I'll try what you've suggested. One question before I do though: If parts from older versions are overwritten and I reinstall complete.exe, will it (...) (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Missing primitives after part update.

(...) Take a look at the Manual Install directions on ldraw.org: (URL) ldraw027.exe will overwrite a number of parts with older versions, so after you install the ldraw027.exe file, you will need to re-install complete.exe. Steve (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Missing primitives after part update.

(...) Hi all. I have been having the same problem. I checked and the above mentioned file was indeed missing so I downloaded it, but it's just sitting there all lonely on my desktop. What do I do with it now? Thanks in advance. (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) Neat! Here's what I get with my quick attempt to try the examples with the current code, built using the same Qt 3.3.7 I used for the alpha. The bricks appear scaled correctly, but there are some large artifacts. ldview -ModelSize=600 (...) (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) It uses LDraw units. (...) I do plan to release a Mac binary of the Beta. In fact, I'll probably get that built and posted to sf.net before announcing it more officially and updating the LDView web page. --Travis (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) What units does the -ModelSize argument use? (...) Thanks for the examples! Those are helpful. Your recent changes must indeed have fixed something relevant; the images I generate with the first few example commands are very large (and not to (...) (17 years ago, 8-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

That's a first for me. The web Preview of my previous message looked different. The images were all placed on the line after their associated command line, which was what I wanted, and made it easier to read. --Travis (17 years ago, 7-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LDView command line snapshot scaling

(...) fine, as long as you set x to be big enough. With the current source code, -cg (with radius) should also work fine. Despite the fact that -cg was documented to support the radius part in LDView 3.1, it in fact didn't. I fixed that, but perhaps (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  LDView command line snapshot scaling

I have a series of models (representing instruction steps) that I would like to render at the same scale with LDView. I can use LDView to save snapshots from the command line (LDView model.ldr -SaveSnapshot=model.png), but I cannot figure out how to (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jun-07, to lugnet.cad)
