  Custom Logo on Minifig

I am planning on giving a Lego related talk and wanted to create a minifig with conferences logo printed on the torso. Is there any easy way to do this? I've tried using the BMP2LDraw utility to convert the logo to LDraw format but it errors out (...) (17 years ago, 23-May-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help

(...) I think Curiously should be replaced with "Distressingly" or something similar. The official MPD tutorial on ldraw.org is telling people to do something that completely violates the MPD spec. If you follow those instructions, you'll end up (...) (17 years ago, 21-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help

(...) Curiously enough, the tutorial cited ((URL)) recommends making the first submodel an empty model in order to "help in speeding up the upload time" for large models. I think it's interesting that MPD is still often presented as an extension to (...) (17 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

  Re: open source ldd?

(...) I spent a couple evenings looking over this when it was first released. For a proprietary format, it's nicely straightforward (the widespread use of XML lately helps, of course). (...) Interestingly, 2.0 contained more information in than 2.1 (...) (17 years ago, 21-May-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help

(...) Tim, I agree. At the time the article was written, MPD was a way of packing files for easy shipping. These days it is the preffered way of working with any model that has at least one sub-model. Starting and ending as MPD is much better than (...)   Re: open source ldd?

(...) When their site comes back online (currently experiancing Database errors when I try to acess the page for the toolkit and information), it would be Qube Software's Qube developer kit. Basiclly a complete all in one Open GL graphics engine (...) (17 years ago, 20-May-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: LDD Model of GG-1 Electric Locomotive - Advice Requested

(...) Bruce Chamberlain postulated that the problem is due to one of the 3-axle trucks being *pushed* through the curve rather than pulled. I suspect that a rubber band between the two 3-axle trucks would help - I will try that sometime. --Bill. (17 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

  Re: open source ldd?

(...) Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look. I'll have to do some testing with zziplib to see if it will work with the ldraw.org zip files. It doesn't support all zip compression schemes, but I suspect it will work. If I need XML parsing, I'll take a (...) (17 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: LDD Model of GG-1 Electric Locomotive - Advice Requested

(...) It's also not hinged to another truck; it only has to rotate around its center point. Being attached to the motor truck, the 3-axle trucks in the GG1 are being pulled a little bit off center as the wheels go into the curve, and I think that's (...)
