  Save the 10183 trains!

Hi, Last Saterday it arrived, my 10183. It is an awesome set with loads of parts and possibilities. But after building the crocodile (building instructions included in the box), we (my daughter, son and I) wanted to build one (or two) of the other (...)   light.dat has wrong title

The part title for light.dat is as follows: Pov-RAY Light Source (useless to give a color to it) This title is wrong. Even the L3P that's been out for years pays attention to the color, and creates a light source that matches the given color. (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) And it was really worth the effort! A funny story/scenery with a different use of the model. Hopefully the two guys succeeded without getting two wet. And thanks for the links. I will dive through it and will see, what I can learn next... (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

(...) LDD 2.0 has a "filter" function that allows you to use only the pieces from the 10183 set, though it does not have the ability to keep track of the number of elements used from that set. The Hobby Train is LEGO© 's attempt to keep 9V trains (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.events, lugnet.fun.community, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

(...) Jeramy, I haven't really used LDD. Is there a way to limit the parts to only those in the Hobby Train? And, while I'm at it, what exactly is the Hobby Train? (...) Sounds cool. I may have to give it a try. Thanks Steve (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.events, lugnet.fun.community, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

This summer at Brickworld, I'll be hosting a train building challenge. Through this challenge, you will get a taste of what it is like to design a set with limited parts availability, much like the designers underwent while working on the 10183 (...)   Re: Getting rif off the 8.3 nomenclature???

(...) I just don't want people confusing naming conventions in the part library with naming conventions in Linetype 1 part references. I was mostly replying to Kevin saying his applications choke on spaces in part references, which is something I'd (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
