Re: Finding a rotation matrix for a triangle

(...) Hi Niels, I think you are getting two things a little crossed here but I will try to answer you questions. Firstly, you must remember that a plane can be defined meaningfully by a normal vector (one perpendicular to the plane) and a vector (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Finding a rotation matrix for a triangle

What I mean is: In MLCad, you can take a part, and rotate it via a vector command like turn 45 degrees around y axis clockwise. Or more complex rotations based on more axes. What I would like to know is: How do I find the rotation vector of a plane (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad)

Exporting Minifig to Maya - edgy model

Hey, I've been stuck with this problem for a while, so now I've come here for a discussion. It's quite simple actually, but I must say that I'm fairly new in the 3d world so I might have missed something crucial here. 1. I've made a simple minifig (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LDraw.org MOTM/SOTM Relaunch

(...) You found a bug in my code (not unexpected at all considering the size of the module). I've applied a workaround and everything should be visible now. -Orion (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  LDraw.org MOTM/SOTM Relaunch

I'm pleased to announce the relaunch of LDraw.org's MOTM/SOTM contest. After writing a few thousand lines of code, the core functionality for the new contest and voting module finished. There's not a whole lot different visually but the archive (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.announce) !

Re: Finding a rotation matrix for a triangle

(...) Hi Niels, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the rotation vector of a triangle? There isn't really one as a triangle is defined by three points (9 components) whereas a rotation matrix/vector is defined by only 1 point (3 components). A (...) (19 years ago, 27-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Finding a rotation matrix for a triangle

Uhm, it's the rotation VECTOR I need... The rotation matrix would just screw up the dimensions of the primitive. So does anyone have a program or formula that can give me the rotation vector of a triangle? -NB (19 years ago, 27-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Is someone working on this technic/mindstorm part?

(...) This is part 4261.dat named Technic Steering Arm. It's part of LDraw 0.27 archive and should be in every library. -Orion (19 years ago, 27-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad)
