3D Cube : the spherical version

Hi all, When I announced my previous MOC (3D-Cube wooden puzzle), Ross Crawford challenged me to make a spherical version of it. Well, here it is : The Cube: (URL) The Sphere: (URL) Check out (URL) my webpage> Let me know what you think, Maarten (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.be, lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LDraw/POV-Ray Display at Garfield Heights HomeDays

(...) If you need I can make larger sizes and email to you. I try to keep images small for downloading from the net. Larger sizes will work well directly from your computer. Steve (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.cad, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

(...) Awesome, Mike! Take some pictures, write up an article, and we'll be sure to get this up on LDraw.org!   Re: LCD draft spec comment

(...) Hi I am currently working on my own version of LCD. (URL) was thinking of adding some kind over-ride to the angle of movement for each connection. This clinches it, I will. The format itself could hold single-studs that lock at 90 degrees or (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.lcd)

  Re: DAT2DXF problems

I had similar problems with DAT2DXF (never could get that to work to my satisfaction). Finally settled on 3DWin, though I also had problems similar to yours at first. Try this - do a complete uninstall/reinstall of 3DWin and make SURE you point it (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Mac Brick CAD and the Imerial Star Destroyer

(...) Actually, the same thing can happen in Windows if you resize a window too big (say 1600x1200) on an older video card. However, I'm not sure you can tell that it has switched to software mode on Windows, because as far as I know it is still (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: DAT2DXF problems

(...) I haven't had any problems in the past. You can try 3DWin; it's listed in the download database on LDraw.org. I've also had success importing into Bryce using LDraw2LWS (also in the download database). One more thing. Here's the link for the (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.cad)

  DAT2DXF problems

Hello all, Dark Ages don't wait for computer errors; that much I think is well proven. :) I'm having a few problems with (URL) DAT2DXF>. Whenever I try to convert an LDR file, it converts a couple thousand lines and then starts giving me errors (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Mac Brick CAD and the Imerial Star Destroyer

(...) Yeah, watch out for that software rendering on the Mac. It sneeks up on you. I know it can switch you over while your program is running, but I don't know what causes it to happen other than resizing a window. You might want to query it about (...)   Re: Mac Brick CAD and the Imerial Star Destroyer

(...) Just as a note, I found that Vertex Buffer Objects (VBOs) would crash my ATI card in Windows when used inside a display list. As far as I can tell, this isn't supposed to happen. Regular vertex arrays work fine inside a display list. General (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  LCD draft spec comment

Nothing much seems to be happening with the LCD spec, but I read it through and have a comment, in case anyone is listening. If not, at least this lands in the archives.   Re: Mac Brick CAD and the Imerial Star Destroyer
