As you 'squish' the primitive, the angle will change slightly, but it's kinda like the tangent angle is the last to change - by the time you switch it significantly (...) Whilst there is probably a unique TLC number for decorated parts, the LDraw convention is to use a Pxx suffix to the part number, based on the ranges of Pxx numbers documented at (URL) In this case p01 is appropriate.
