  Re: LeoCAM alpha release

(...) Leonardo: Two comments: 1. One of my fellow BayLUG members is a *very* pro-Linux. Much to my suprise he wound up using MLCAD to do his MOC instruction manuals. When I asked him "why?", his response has that LeoCAD could not read and write (...) (22 years ago, 14-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) [...] (...) Gustavo: I grabbed the binary zip, unpacked it, and then noticed that it was Windows. I kicked Windows out of my house about 5 years ago ;-) I grabbed the source and attempted to compile them under a stock Red Hat 7.3 distribution (...) (22 years ago, 14-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LeoCAM alpha release

(...) Looks pretty good, I haven't had much time to try it (at work now) so I didn't understand very well how to connect 2 bricks but somehow I was able to connect them and it looked nice. (...) When/where is it going to be? (...) What's confusing (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LeoCAM alpha release

(...) This is cool! I'd love to see this develop further. Leo - if you're reading, are you coming to BricksWest?? I'd love to sit down face to face again and discuss the future of LeoCAD. (...) This is still the main reason I don't use LeoCAD as an (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LeoCAM alpha release

(...) snip (...) This is pretty amazing. Once you get the hang of it, you can add parts to a model so quickly. Also, once two parts are "connected," moving or rotating one part moves both parts together, like a submodel. Now if I could just figure (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub Instruction Images errors help

Hi James, Please email me two files and some information: 1. The test.ldr file 2. config.lpb from the directory in which you installed Lpub 3. The name of the full path which test.ldr exists. 4. The version of LPub you used. You can send these (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  LPub Instruction Images errors help

I have a test project called test.ldr with 4 steps. When I run LPub and use the Instruction Images feature everything seems to go just fine for the first step. But after the first step is rendered I get the error message "Image file test.bmp not (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Question

  Re: Znap Parts

(...) Try: (URL) find some references to primitives and the flexible axle and stuff. IN particular: (URL) time ago someone made up a good start. They did some of the connectors, and some of the simple beams. These beams have the key end connection (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hi everybody, Just wanted to interest you all, with the MOC I constructed (well not built due to lack of parts). I was always impressed by the astonishing piramids of the Mayas and wanted to built those for ages. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't (...)   Re: How do I write a header file for an updated part...

(...) Good idea. I'll do that before I send the parts in. (...) Hm, you think the 1x4 brick is common enough? Methinks the answer is yes- I'll separate the unfaced portion. I'm also submitting a BFC'd box4t because I used that for the brick's body. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: question/problem with some flag parts

(...) I'm pretty sure there is not a 6 x 3 1/3 flag, and seeing as the original author titled it "6 x 4" I suspect this was just an error in authoring (and review !). I'll liaise with the author to arrange a fix. Chris (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How do I write a header file for an updated part...

(...) I've not discussed with Steve, but I'd go for option 2 - write a new header but credit the previous author in a subsidiary comment. If the existing author is still active, it would be polite to let them know what you're doing. Please re-use (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
