Re: New Part Minifig Helmet - Type 1 (Thick Chinstrap)

(...) When we released the "Type 1" helmet, those many weeks ago, we hadn't come up with a good name for it - one that was specific enough to let people know what the part was, but general enough to not exclude any reasonable usage. Since we didn't (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Ldglite must be faster

(...) I don't have all the information handy, I've misplaced the correspondence on the subject, but here's what I can piece together: The basic thing is the WM_COPYDATA Windows message is being used to pass data between two programs. LDList is the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Ldglite must be faster

(...) I am. I actually started using it again recently. Generally, I find LDList faster than any other option. (...) Nope, I didn't know that. Thanks for mentioning it! :) (...) I wanted to, but I got bogged. I'm currently looking for the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw.org Parts Update 2002-04 Now Available

(...) What, the big "Updates" at the top of the page wasn't a clue? ;) How about if I add this text somewhere near the top? "The files provided on this page only include the updates to the LDraw parts library. If you are just getting started with (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) I don't think I said that. At least it was not my intension. What I meant to say was that the standard colour/surface definitions in L3P / LGEO need some tweaking to get those results. Fredrik (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Beatiful.... So.. Is there a new version of L3P coming up with a "realistic" switch? :) THL (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

Fantastic renderings ! Both ! The Brazil 3D-Studio and the POV-Ray. Now the question is: how can we "normal" users (without Silicon graphic equipment ;-) ) make SO NICE renderings ?! For example I'm using ML-Cad, L3PAO, LGEO parts library and (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: LGEO orientation problem

(...) Depends on what part it is and how it was oriented wrongly. For example, for the 6536 "Crossblock", I added a rotate statement to the very end of the declaration of "lg_6536" in the file "lg_6536.inc" from LGEO. You'll find that the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) renderings is to work more on the surface/colour definition within POV-Ray. The one which are the default from LGEO or L3P are probably not the optimal ones. With all due respect to the authors, of course! I don't mean to belittle their work, (...) (22 years ago, 3-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)
