What programs do you guys (or gals) use for rendering (or ray-tracing, whatever the correct terminology is)? I created a model in MLCAD and was trying to find how to generate a rendered image of it. Thanks in advance. Play well. Tim Strutt 8^) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

Very nice! I could follow almost every step. Some suggestions: 1) As others have said, use numbers rather than arrows. 2) On some steps, the scale was too small, and I had trouble seeing exactly what bricks had been added. (...) castle? as a scene itself it kinda awe inspiring for the work you put into to it, but other than that kinda boring. if there was a way to move the eye somewhat closer, like a more dramatic shot. but i dunno how to do that. Ed or Eduardo? Thanks! I don't think there is any standard for that animation. I just wanted to create something with a higher aspect ratio then the standard 4x3 or 1.33 for a bit of widescreen look. What standard is this of 800 by 480 pixels I think this is above DVD resolution if I'm correct. Which way u made it Mlcad -> L3P -> POV-RAY or Anton Raves's POV-RAY lib. Very cool!! (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.space)

This is my first part i have created. It is not the best, but i think i did a pretty good job. The reason i chose to make this part is because i noticed some people need it, i myself needed it so i took it upon myself to make it. It does not have (...) Thanks Mladen! I'd love too a battle scene incuding massive missile swarms and rail guns. If only I had more time. Its about 6megs and features a couple of microfig space ships heading towards a planet. You can also see a small drone vehicle passing in front of the planet after the camera turns. (...) Good work! You can actually do POV-raytraced instructions without much extra effort. I have done that for my own instructions: (URL) trick is to use the "step" feature of L3P.
