Re: New Part: 973p106.dat Minifig torso with Luke Skywalker (Jedi) pattern

(...) Nice job. :-) Are you planning on doing the other "robed" torsos (Jedi Knight; Old Obi-Wan; Darth Maul; Emperor) from the Star Wars theme also? Franklin (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Sub Models

Is it possible to have too many sub models? I am working on 6989, and I currently have about 12 sub-models, 1 for each of most of the moving parts. I chose to do this so the model could be shown in different configurations. Its not particularly for (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: A screenshot for those who ask how I make parts.

(...) Wow. Did you launch all of those L3Lab windows from LDAO's Editor (the 'Camera' button), or did you open them separately? I've had some intermittent goofiness with launching multiple view-windows from the Editor. Steve (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: I'm doing the revolving/"secret" door parts

New version beta 9 of stl2dat converter

Hi to all part modelers I have upload a new version of my STL to Dat converter. It handles better than before the detection of cylinders. Reminder : This program allows to modelise Lego parts with classical Computer Aided Design (CAD) software by (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

Grand Ceiling Light for large ballrooms, etc.  [DAT]

Okay, I've(my brother had the original idea, but I built it) done this in LEGOs, but until I get a digital camera or a scanner it'll stay LDRAW. This is a model of a ceiling light, and uses six pieces. It would probably only work in black or gray, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)
