This post is here to start a discussion on color names for obscure combinations made by older programs. In LDLite, a few colors were added to the existing LDraw/LEdit palette. Among them were 21, the glow-in-the-color, 25, the reddish orange, and 2 (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Ahh, yes - you have discovered that some LDRAW elements have colors hard-coded into them. They therefore do not appear with the color specified, but rather with the colors embedded into the .dat file for them. :-) Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde (...) (...) ...[snip]... (...) ?!?!?.... Uhhhmmmm, this "Color Code" is *WAY* beyond range. Valid color codes in LDraw are "0" (zero) to "511" (five hundred eleven). A color code of "67780772" (sixty-seven million, seven hundred eighty thousand, seven (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I thought about using the environment variable, but that's still relying on another program and I know what I really need to do is make L3PAO completely self-sufficient. Besides, Lars changed L3P (in version 1.2) where it doesn't require the (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad)
