  The Thunderdome

"Two men enter, one man leaves" in the (URL) Thunderdome>! (URL) A double-vig sized tribute to the movie 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'. We don't need another hero... "Big Daddy" Nelson (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

3 More Vignettes (with one Joe Vig)

Here are a couple of new (and hopefully original) vignettes: (URL) Earthquake> (2 URLs) Tar Pit> (URL) and a new Joe Vig... (URL) Joe Meets Vader> (URL) "There will be no escaping this time, Joe!"   Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

(...) I beg to differ--the beauty of "The Plunge" is that the viewer is looking up into the panicked faces of the riders. If the shot is rotated 45 degrees, we lose that immediacy. I suppose the focus could be sharpened, but IMO the composition is (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Hey, very nice. My favorite is probably the alien abduction one as well. I also agree that a picture of the Plunge one where you rotated the vig by about 45 degrees would help make it clearer. I like the concrete shoes one, except for the gray (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

Wow. That's an awful lot of vignettes. Must have been a busy (or rather not so busy) weekend for you. I like the UFO one, and the roller coaster one looks like it has potential. I can't tell for sure from the picture you posted though. Steve (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

7 Vignettes, some even starring Joe Vig

I just had to try building vignettes. And I must say, it is a lot of fun. Abduction: A gentle stroll through the city, and suddenly E.T. invites you to coffee, or whatever they drink. (URL) for months on an island, then a crate appears in the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Actually, I called dibs on making a vignette of a humerous scene of attempted time travel from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. We watched it at Jeramy's house after the meeting was over. Jeramy bought the movie, so we can play that scene for (...) (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) David, Correction .... he's also wearing a smile :-) You need to get in on this Joe Vig thing 'cause your sense of humor would make for some great vignettes. Brian (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Joe Vig's morning stroll

(...) Man, that trainhead is wearing nothing but gloves and a chest tattoo. I'm surprised they moderated it. ; ) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Joe Vig's morning stroll

Joe had no idea his morning stroll would place him right between two such unsavory characters .... a trainhead and a spacehead. (URL) and the file once moderated: (URL) Darrow (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig pays homage to the original SNL

(...) Very original and funny! You've opened the door (literally, not just for the shark) for many more SNL vigs. 150 posts to .vig!! Nelson (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig pays homage to the original SNL

(...) Cool stuff! Spotligthed, thanks for sharing with us all. (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Joe Vig pays homage to the original SNL

Joe Vig didn't recall that his regular barber was on vacation. (URL) worse yet, Joe should not be opening that door: (URL) the file after moderation: (URL) Darrow (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette) !!

Chicago House of Bricks 2005 - Castle area

Hello all, I'll be organizing the castle area for this year's House of Bricks. I'm hoping to create a fun and interesting experience for all. I'm planning to separate our area into a few sections. Classic Castle City Standard (URL) The CCC standard> (...) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.events.houseofbricks, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Time to turn on the spotlight.

At the behest of Samarth, crossposting our contest to the various groups (I hate when I forget to crosspost the first time). (2 URLs) -Stefan- (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.people.teens, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: [WARNING: OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT] New MOC: The Shpleem's Night Out

(...) I thought it was Pokey and his unknown blue friend from Gumby. It looks like Pokey is getting the "poking". :( or :) -Patrick (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

"That's My frog!" - A Joe Vig Vignette

Hey All, Here is my first contribution to the Joe Vig phenomenon. Sorry, some of the pics turned out a bit blurry, but the lighting is odd right now and I was having trouble with my autofocus. Deeps: (URL) (post mod): (URL) me know what you think! (...) (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: [WARNING: OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT] New MOC: The Shpleem's Night Out

(...) <snip> I remember seeing something similar to this on the Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom when I was but just a lad. To the best of my recolection there were no wine bottles involved though. Soren, I applaud you for the shear boldness of this (...) (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: [WARNING: OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT] New MOC: The Shpleem's Night Out

Wonderful. An R-rated (X-rated?) vignette. An I thought I had seen it all. Disregarding the...er...shpleems themselves, I like the vignette. The studlessness is cool. (and I'm refering to the little bumps on the bricks, BTW) (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: [WARNING: OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT] New MOC: The Shpleem's Night Out

(...) Why?(1) The content may(2) get neutronbot on to the netNanny list but that's your site's issue, not LUGNET's, a mere link should NOT get LUGNET on that list. What's wrong with a link to it? It seems pretty solidly warned for those that might (...) (20 years ago, 25-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.admin.general, FTX)
