  Lego Spheres of various radius

I know that everybody has done a sphere... I've seen a sphere calculator (very very cool, not studs-up, and instructions somewhat hard to follow). I thought that I would be thorough... So here are plans for studs-up sphere sculptures of radius 2 (...) (19 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)

Re: Post for David Winkler... The Stanford Bunny!!

(...) I was asked the following question: Wow! How did you digitize the mesh into Lego units? Did you do a "hit test" on each vertext/face within lego units, or perhaps do a boolean subtract out of a composite lego 'block'? Inquiring minds want to (...)   Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) Great work Judy! Can't believe I haven't seen your stuff before. I was looking at your brickshelf folder and was duly impressed! Keep up the great work. Does the turtle use translucent elements? It has a great quality to it... Loved the Saint (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) Both of these are wonderful. Judy you seem to have a very distinct style and approach to your sculptures. The sea turtle has an amazing use of colour, (as do many of your other models) and a very pleasing shape. Emily, is in a perfect pose and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) My apologies for leaving ".moc" out of the "lugnet.announce.moc" newsgroup name. I hope people will be forgiving :( Judy (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Bouquet

(...) Yes I am. It was OK without for the prototype, but the bouquet as a whole needed it or stability. As it is, the flowers often dead-headed themselves. -Duane (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Post for David Winkler... The Stanford Bunny!!

Hello All! Hey Check this out!! I'm posting for David V. Winkler, a quiet but very talented builder in SEALUG. Be sure to check out all the other stuff he's got in the brickshelf folder if you haven't already seen it! Cheers! (URL) classic 3d test (...)   Re: Maneki Neko - The Lucky Cat

(...) Don't you mean "nya!" ? :) Cute little sculpture, Anne. The whole thing comes together nicely with a minimum SNOT. The kanji on the coin are a great detail, although it might look a bit slicker if you SNOTed the plates sideways and shrunk the (...)   Re: Super Mario

(...) Thanks Anne, I always figured if I ever had a couple thousand bucks to throw around, I would buy the stand up arcade game of Donkey Kong. But between roommates that are not keen on turning the living room into an arcade and lack of extra (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Super Mario

(...) Thanks Janey, I had a blast building this. It is the second time I used arches in this way to create eyes. The first time I did it was for a client who wanted a Lego version on their little dog, a Chinese Crested Powderpuff (also on my (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Super Mario

(...) Of course, I haven't played on a Ninendo in ages, but this little guy brings back memories of Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. Oh yeah, spotlighted :) -Anne (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Super Mario

(...) Wow Bill, excellent job! I saw him on Brickshelf and it is one of the few MOCS I have called my children into see. They were suitably impressed as am I. I was particular impressed with both the over all shape and the way you did his eyes with (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Bouquet

(...) Pretty! It's refreshing to see an unusual design like this. I'd never think to make flower petals that way. Nice touch with the pick-a-brick cup as vase! -Suz (19 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Super Mario

Hello! Just thought I'd post my latest creation, Mario from Nintendo's Super Mario Brothers! (URL) I have always been a fan of the little guy since the days of playing Donkey Kong at my local arcade in the early 80's (dang, I'm old). I actually have (...)
