Hello!
Just thought I’d post my latest creation, Mario from Nintendo’s Super Mario
Brothers!
I have always been a fan of the little guy since the days of playing Donkey Kong
at my local arcade in the early 80’s (dang, I’m old). I actually have the
distinction of having played AND won every Nintendo version of Super Mario Bros.
games ever made. Well, maybe not so much a distinction as perhaps a lot of free
time.....
So I decided it was time to pay homage to the guy with the other thing I love,
LEGO. I am pretty pleased with the final result! He stands at 17 inches tall and
uses a little less than 5 pounds of Lego bricks.

| (...) Wow Bill, excellent job! I saw him on Brickshelf and it is one of the few MOCS I have called my children into see. They were suitably impressed as am I. I was particular impressed with both the over all shape and the way you did his eyes with (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
