Another update - To anyone who might be planning on going to the opening on Thursday (not sure anyone was), I was wrong about it being open to the public. So I stopped by the Zoo today to iron out the details. This place is amazing. They've got tons of planes in beautiful condition, what is soon to be the largest hand-painted mural on the planet (no, really. Guiness is supposed to stop in in a week or (...) Congrats on getting the contract! I hadn't realized they were going to have anything of the sort. (...) Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the red cheeks, but it looks worse without them, and Santa has to have rosy cheeks! Hey, great job! I especially like the leprechaun! The form is great example of the quality of building that can be accomplished with just basic brick. Santa Claus Bust Last Christmas I started work on a (URL) of Santa Claus>. I completed the head and hat, but didn't get any farther than that. (...) snip (...) Thanks! (...) He's obviously a little forward heavy but no, I didn't have to add any counterweight. His center of gravity is about 2 studs from the front of his toes.
