  MOC: Harry Potter's owl Hedwig

Hey there I made this model with inspiration from Harry Potter owl Hedwig. I like the books, but I am not a fan. (URL) idea to this model came to me, when I was experimenting with a human face. It looked more like an owl, and then I started building (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jan-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.loc.dk, lugnet.harrypotter) !!

  MOC Cards

Hey everyone! If you're bringing a MOC or two to BrickFest PDX ... (and you should be!) PLEASE take the time to fill out a MOC card (URL) here> for each MOC you're bringing. In addition to being really spiffy to look at, and print out, these cards (...)   MOC: UCS Darth Maul 2.0

UCS Darth Maul 2.0 (Seventh in my quest to recreate life-sized Star Wars characters in the medium of LEGO. Darth Maul, one of the coolest yet most short-lived characters. IMO Kenobi should only have DEFEATED Maul at the end of EP1. Then Anakin (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Japanese Koi

That is a very handsome sculpture, Todd. Ingenious, good proportions and very well executed. It looks beatifull, it must be even better in rael life I suppose. If I'm not mistaken, the Koi is a symbol for health and long life, therefore I believe (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Japanese Koi

Totally cool! The 1x1 rounds work beautifully as scales. The pectoral fins are great too! Any future plans to do the sides as well? I'd love to see some close-ups of the tail too.   Re: Japanese Koi

(...) Todd Nice Job! It looks really great. I like the luminacity the clear bricks give it. It almost looks wet! You might think about giving it a name! I'm gonng suggest you name it "Mack"! Then you can tell people that they are looking at the real (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Japanese Koi

I got to see this in person at NWBC 2003. It rocked my pants then, and it rocks my pants now. The use of dirty clear and trans-orange parts for scales is too cool. I always look at sculptures like this with a certain awe, hopefully soon I'll have (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Japanese Koi

Well, just for look see. Thought i'd post a link to a sculpture I completed not too long ago. Japanese Kohaku Koi with the Sandan pattern (URL) is roughly 3 1/2 ft in length. It has probably the right body mass size for a real koi of mature age, of (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.general) !

  Re: Dexter Boy Genius

Nice job. When I first saw it, my thoughts were the same as Adrian's. However, with the drawing style of Dexter, it looks good blocky, and I think that makes this a very effective sculpture :) -Anne (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
