  Re: LEGO Sculptures at legolize-it.com

Great stuff! The roadkill squirrel is delightfully twisted, and the "Feathers" and Hobbes models are sheer brilliance. I can't wait to see more of your sculpture! Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 15-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  LEGO Sculptures at legolize-it.com

Hello Lugnetizens! For all of you who don't visit Brickshelf regularly: You can now see my sculptures altogether at (URL) them is the famous Hobbes (as in "Calvin & Hobbes") sculpture (needs only one 3033 blue tub) and some newer ones with much more (...)   Re: Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

Re: Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

(...) Bags from the custom kit are all 90 pcs - gotta figure these are the same. Do your math again ;), Tiger is 24, Cat & Johnny 23. I suspect the 13 white bags (and/or maybe the 7 black) in the Dino is just wrong and will verify that when it's in (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

(...) This makes sense for the Build-Your-Own mosaic. I wonder if this is also true for the prepackaged mosaic sets? --SPECULATION ON-- With them, the color distribution is "fixed", like a regular lego set. So, for instance, if one of the (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

I was under the impression that ALL bags do contain 90 bricks each. So if a mosaic needs just one black, you end up with 89 extra. jt (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

(...) Wow, John! Now *that's* taking the initiative ;) I suspect that the color bags do not all contain 90 bricks each then? A simple calculation of 90 bricks per bag * the number of bags per set yields vastly differing amounts. A minimum of 1936 (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) The deed is done. This is from the order confirmation and not out of the box, as it were - I'll confirm when they arrive just to be anal.   Re: First Attempts

Actually, there is method to my madness, as far as colors go. 2nd Edition Warhammer 40k had a codex(rulebook) that outlined the color schemes of a given chapter. In this case the Blood Angels. Their scheme was red and black, hence the red shoulder (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  First Attempts

I have spent the last few months trying my hand at lego sculptures. I knew I couldn't match some of the works I have seen here, but I felt I had to at least give it a try. My only problem was the subject. Being a huge fan of Warhammer 40k, I decided (...) (22 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Snoopy MOC

(...) I spotted this before you posted it and am VERY impreseed with it. It's hard enough to do a two-dimension drawing, but you captured the gesture behind the hug with how you sculpted Snoopy . Way cool! Should we expect a doghouse?:) Joe Meno (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Outstanding sculpture! You really captured the shapes of his body and head perfectly. The arms-wide-open pose is very welcoming. You just want to pick him up and hug him. Happiness is a warm puppy, you know. Bruce (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
