Thanks! It helps to have an extremely cute cat as your model. @8^)

It was really weird for me to think about how to model a large
three-dimensional object. I've been generally in awe of others who have
built some really incredible LEGO sculptures, and was fascinated by the talk
that Eric Harshbarger, Henry Lim, and Bill Ward gave at BricksWest last
year. I really didn't think LEGO sculpture was something I could do.
I'm still not totally convinced either. This cat sculpture is relatively
small which allowed me to use the unorthodox sculpturing procedure of having
the outside of the model entirely in slopes. Using slopes to model curved
or angled surfaces is feasible in smaller projects like this, but at some
point I think you have to do as the other more traditional sculptors do and
use strictly basic bricks to portray curves and angles, and I think that's
what I'd find to be the trickiest part.
But thanks for the comments. He *is* cute. @8^)
