  Re: Sculptural Galaxy Enforcer

Hey, I think that's great. I got a kick out of your bizarre discourse on random features, especially the rear stabilizers. Whenever I see a spacecraft, the first thing I wonder about is how often the rear stabilizers do fall off. I'm glad you (...) (22 years ago, 28-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Sculptural Galaxy Enforcer

Hi, Inspired by a recent visit to Legoland in Billund, I decided to make a sculptural entry to the Galaxy Enforcer competition. I stretched and distorted Ed Hall's sphere instructions, to create a fat tear-shaped body, and then festooned it with (...)   Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

(...) As far as I can tell from skyline photos, the view on my instructions is too far right to see the WTC towers anyway. ie, they're off the LHS of the photo. But it's hard to tell - I can't find a photo that looks like it's from that particular (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

  Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

The other thing is that on my instructions the Manhattan skyline doesn't seem to show the World Trade Center towers. Is that the case on the instructions on the first release of this set? Kerry (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

(...) No, they're definitely extra - I was surprised at this too. I swapped a couple of bricks for "ordinary colours" with Lar (before building her), thinking I'd have to hide the swapped bricks in there somewhere (which I did), later finding that I (...)   Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

(...) Hi Kerry, I had the exact same thing with mine. There is something weird with the design on the back of the head. I had to go over the instructions again and again to make sure I did it right. I still hated the way it looked. I don't know if (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

Kerry, I had the same situation--leftover 2x6 and 2x8 bricks. This really suprised me because I bought a damaged one with a gaping hole in the side of the box for 60% off--I figured that if I didn't have the parts, then I'd have a lot of Sand green (...) (...) it! (...) Well, it's back on S@H and mine has arrived and I've built it. However, I'm a bit bothered by a couple of things. 1. I seem to have a lot of leftover large parts, e.g. 2x8 and 2x6 bricks, but I can't find a missing step that would (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
