What happened with Statue of Liberty on LEGO S&H website ??? I can't find • it!
It seems that it's no more available ! Where can I buy now this set ?

Well, it's back on S@H and mine has arrived and I've built it.

However, I'm a bit bothered by a couple of things.

1. I seem to have a lot of leftover large parts, e.g. 2x8 and 2x6 bricks, but I
can't find a missing step that would have used that collection of bricks.

2. I seem to have a "hairline" fracture visible at the back of the head. As all
the box pictures are taken from the front, it's hard to say if this is how it
supposed to be, or whether I got something wrong.

Anyone else with one care to comment?

Kerry
Hi Kerry,
I had the exact same thing with mine.  There is something weird with the
design on the back of the head.  I had to go over the instructions again and
again to make sure I did it right.  I still hated the way it looked.  I
don't know if the instructions were done wrong or if they designed it that
way.  If that was their idea of a good design, then Lego is in big trouble!
I was very dissapointed with the way the statue turned out.  But I love
having all those off green bricks!
By the way, I examined pictures of the actual statue to try and figure
out why the back of the head looked the way it did in the sculpture.  All
that did was reinforce my idea that there was a mistake somewhere.  It's a
shame that the instructions didn't show a rear view to help with building
it.  I, for one, would have liked to have that to go by.
build on...
