  Re: Taj Mahal

(...) I haven't bought the Taj Mahal, but I did build one of the 1st Release UCS Falcons, and I also ended up with a bag full of extra parts. What I had, though, was a bag full of 2x4 right wings, and 2x4 left wings. 23 of each. The set inventory (...) (16 years ago, 28-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Taj Mahal

Hi all, I just finished building this set. I would have to say it will be one of my favorites for quite some time, along with the Statue of Liberty. I am not very creative with my Lego, so I really enjoyed some of the ways pieces were combined to (...) (16 years ago, 28-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Batman the Video Game Launch Event in New York City

Hi again everyone! For those of you who were not able to go to the LEGO Batman Launch Party that was held at the Natural History Museum in New York City. Here are the Mosaics that I made for the event. (URL) You can see more images on my (URL) (...) (16 years ago, 27-Sep-08, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

(...) High praise indeed, Brendan, coming from a master of biblical dioramas! "Any resemblance to actual fish, living or deep fried, is purely accidental." Dave S. (16 years ago, 28-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Very nice scene. Having tried my hand at an underwater diorama myself, I appreciate the challenge, but this looks great. Very clever construction on the various fish types. -Brendan (16 years ago, 27-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Dave! Any resemblance to actual fish was purely accidental, but I'm glad you saw some familiar faces! The coral was the most challenging part, especially trying to figure how to make it "branch" in a realistic way. Dave S. (16 years ago, 26-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: A simple but colorful sea diorama

(...) This rocks my socks. You managed to get my favorite salt-water fish in there (Angelfish and Clownfish). I like the use of the clear supports to move the fish out into space. It gives the diorama a lot of depth. The colors are fantastic and (...) (16 years ago, 25-Aug-08, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: New Lego Set # 10189 - Taj Mahal

(...) Arthur, thanks for the input. I was curious if you had anything to do with it. Though I noticed style elements that are different from yours. You and Adam have really gotten me hooked at trying to build MOCs from the two different perspective (...) (16 years ago, 10-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: New Lego Set # 10189 - Taj Mahal

(...) I guess I've been waiting for this thread to appear on lugnet so I could make some comments... I've received a number of e-mails and read some things on the web that I would like to respond to in regard to Lego's new Taj Mahal model. 1. I had (...)
