  Re: Captain Cool Guy

(...) I don't know of any alternative in tan. I was working with what I had, damn you. As for the scale, oversize head, hands, and feet equal goofy to me, which was what I was going for. (...)   Re: ... and a cubicle...

(URL) (...) Sean, This is a true work of Art. It is powerful yet subtle. I can't imagine anyone flaming you for that. Somewhere, there is an art teacher who should be proud! -Lenyu (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Captain Cool Guy

(...) The only thing I don't like is the hands. I've never been a fan of minifig legs as hands - and at your scale, his hand should probably be closer to three wide than four wide. but i should emphasize that it is the ONLY thing I dont like. As in (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

1:20 scale MOCs: an Audi TT, a Chevy Suburban, and a cubicle...

All: Hi everybody! I know it's been a really long time since I've posted something new. I moved from New York to Austin this past winter, and it took forever before my LEGO workshop was finally set up and sorted out. I've also just finished working (...)   What to call this scale?

Check out this really neat folder on Brickshelf: (URL) creator calls it "microscale" but I think most would agree it's not really microscale (smaller than minifig scale). Instead these animals are sculpted at a scale much closer to real than minifig (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Dog and Guitar

(...) Hmmm, let's see. Small four stringed instrument. That's not a guitar. That's a ukelele! A very nicely modelled ukelele though, although perhaps the 'waist' is a little narrow. Gettin' soulfull with that ukelele! (URL) Allister (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: More Wedding Madness

Hey Anthony, Way to go with the swans! I was hoping you would show us a picture of them all "dressed up." They look great! The cake topper is good as well. The bride and groom are excellent but the red part of th heart could stand a bit of refining, (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, FTX)

  More Wedding Madness

Well, the wedding is getting even closer now. First off, I'd like to share the finished product of the swans: (URL) Post Mod Gallery (URL) HERE> My mother put in the greenery and ribbon, and while doing so she decided that the girl swan is the one (...)   Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Hey Anthony, Great Swans! They should be a great addition to your wedding. I also was in my dark age during my wedding. My wife had no idea that she was marrying a future lego maniac, but she is also one now too. :) I think the swans should be (...)   Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Is it any wonder where we got the shape for the modern valentine heart? (URL) I created an identical Swan using all the left over white bricks I had. It wasn't a pretty build, let me tell you. The second swan (left) is nearly all 1xXs, and most of (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

(...) Thanks much! It also helps that I don't own that many white plates or slopes :) (...) I think the greenery will have to be silk. I'm afraid that all, and I do mean all, of my green is tied up at the moment in my village. (URL) a good idea (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Very nice. While I personally would have used plates/slopes in such an endeavor, I will say that using strictly bricks still looks VERY nice, I certainly can't fault the final product.
