  Curator for sculpture group?

It seems that there isn't a curator for sculpture... if nobody wants to do it, I'd be willing... (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: New sculptures: Santa Claus bust and Leprechaun

(...) Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the red cheeks, but it looks worse without them, and Santa has to have rosy cheeks! I build most of my sculptures using only bricks from the 3033 tub (r.i.p.) so pink is not an option. You'll also notice (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: New sculptures: Santa Claus bust and Leprechaun

Hey, great job! I especially like the leprechaun! The form is great example of the quality of building that can be accomplished with just basic brick. The only suggestion I might make is the red cheeks on Santa stand out a bit too much. If you had (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: TCLTC LEGO Brick Sculpture Plaza

(...) Very cool John, I saw this on Brickshelf earlier today and really liked the look of it. I can't wait till we get to see more of the layout. jt (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) snip (...) Thanks! (...) He's obviously a little forward heavy but no, I didn't have to add any counterweight. His center of gravity is about 2 studs from the front of his toes. (...) compared to the other items you've got displayed, and the scale is impressive. Speaking of standing up, did you have any balance issues? Did you have to stack extra brick inside the back portion to counterbalance the large portion sticking out (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Super Junkbot!

(...) Thanks Larry (and Nik)! No, you're right, the eyes don't actually move, but I agree that would be pretty sweet! J (21 years ago, 14-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Super Junkbot!

(...) Other than wishing you could get the eyes to actually move (or did I miss something?) I (and Nik) think this sculpture is perfect. Great job. I like especially that you were able to get the legs to move. Bravo. Spotlighted. (21 years ago, 13-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Super Junkbot!

(...) Excellent representation! I love when people are able to get a sculpture just right, which you've done. The eyes are a perfect touch. How tall does JB stand? I'd love to see the sculpture in context. - Kelly (21 years ago, 13-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
