Inspired by Steve DeCraemer's (URL) S.P.U.> (picture by Rob Hendrix) first shown at Brickfest 2003, I decided to build a bigger version. Almost one ton of LEGO. :D Actually, there's a 120-kilo aluminium* body to hold it together, but still that means there's 780 kilos (1719.6 lbs) of plastic. *In American, that's "aluminum," and 264.55 lbs of it. (...) Amazing in its sheer size, yes. In creatively.... yawn. Looks half finished to me. If the idea is to blend sculpture into some sort of Escheresque landscape, then I say finish the job.
