Re: SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

Boo creepy foot-doctor... Hurray Solaris! -Keith (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

(...) -snip pic- (...) Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! Wow, I don't even know where to begin. As others are saying, this looks almost like a spaceship model out of a sci-fi show or movie. That alone says it all. Specific bits, like the engines and (...) (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

It simply rocks! It's very unique, in a very good way. Awesome, awesome, awesome! (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

(...) This rocks, I am blown away. Gray and blay is thoughtfully mixed, and that looks really good. The "nose" has an interesting ducklike shape, giving this SHIP an unique profile. And a microscale SHIP, did you calculate how long it is for a (...) (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

In lugnet.space, Jon Walker wrote: <snip> (...) Brilliant! Just spectacular! I like how I saw lots of Bab 5 bits of ships in there--the canons and other things. Love it! Dave K (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

Stuff I like: (3 URLs) I'm not so keen on the saucer bit up front - I think a flatter, more angular head would have been better. Also, missiles. I'm a sucker for missiles. Apart from those minor nitpicks it's quite stunning. I'll be borrowing bits (...) (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

Very impressive. And it has a very professional look, right out of a sci-fi movie. Andreas (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  SNOT SHIP - T93 Solaris

This SHIP started in 2002 as an experiment to build a click-hinge based cylinder, and eventually became a composite of various SNOT and non-standard building techniques. I don't have any cool sci-fi backstory about the origin or purpose of the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX) !!

  Redscout and Space (Lamborghini) Countach

On the occasion of me getting (buying) posting rights to lugnet back, I felt like presenting a couple of my newest mocs for you guys too (they've been presented at CSF a while ago).   Minifig-scale sports car

I built this last week and posted about it in another thread, but I never did actually 'announce' it. So here it is--a six-wide two-seater with the top down. Click the pic for many more shots.   Sialia Fighter

I've been awfully busy, but I finally found time to build and shoot something. The Sialia fighter is not-quite-studless and has some SNOT work that is probably more complicated than it needs to be.
