  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Yep, the studs touch but it works just fine. By the way, this is an awesome technique, and I'll be stealing...er, borrowing...it myself, without a doubt. Derek (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Ok, yea, a bit of bevel would help a lot (even if it technically isn't quite enough, LEGO can give some to absorb minor imperfections). Of course if they had been very, very, very clever, they would have figured out how to have the stud height (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) That is very neat. I've used the ends of these brackets before in a similar way to do tight lettering on a Caledonian Railway 4MT (2-6-4 steam engine), but I've never been able to work out what to do with the 1x2 part when using the whole (...)   Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Hi Frank, I hadn't tested it but just did and it works fine. I've never had any trouble sticking plates into the back of headlight bricks before either. It is probably because the top of studs is slightly angled thus removing collisions. I'm (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Have you actually tried this out? From the back, I see you have 1x2/1x4 brackets plugged into the back of washing machine bricks. I think the 2nd studs on the brackets will collide with the studs on the top of the washing machine bricks (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Odd brick SNOT

I just discovered a simple technique today for doing odd brick width SNOT, thus getting around the 2 in the 5:2 rule. I couldn't think of having seen it before so maybe it is new (although it seems unlikely). Anyway, I thought I'd share it since I (...)   Re: WOW!

--SNIP-- (...) I think I can see a gap on the round brick but the slopes look flush. Could be microsnottery or just some discrete edges. Tim (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

  Re: WOW!

(...) Does anyone know how this was done? (URL) do I detect a small gap above the bend? Andreas (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

  Re: WOW!

(...) Dear Legoswami, the "misterzumbi" is again one of the 1000steine fellows. He will display his downtown scenery in Frechen (near Cologne) at a LEGOshow this weekend. Check it out: THAT does really rock! (URL) Godt! Ben P.s.: you may check the (...) (19 years ago, 3-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

  Re: mosaic/ snot alphabet

(...) Hi Ondrew, I've added for you a kind of compilation of all 5 plates high SNOT letterings you can see on BrickShelf : (URL) These kind of lettering is highly represented in minilands (see the LL California pictures in lego-designer BS gallery) (...)   WOW!!!

Fellow Trainheads/SNOTmen, I am blown away. (URL) whoever you are, I haven't seen models this good in AGES... Maybe even never. o_O I bow to thee and thy amazing SNOT skillz. Legoswami (19 years ago, 3-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim) !

(...) Probably "tuned" since the current term for such a car is an import tuner. Currently, I'm working on a (real life) Honda Accord 2dr EX coupe myself... Back on topic, though, I like the red one Ross! -Rob www.brickmodder.net (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town)

(...) Coolness. Long low and mean looking. J2 builds big, but Ross builds well! (unless, tell us, did Ross build those big trees too??) (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Fun With LEGO® "Hot Wheels" (Pics)

(...) Indeed. The came out very nice. I just love most of the little racers sets and throw a few in the cart whenever I am shopping for other things at Target. One of the pictures reminds me of Fridays and Saturdays in desolate areas of Brooklyn and (...) (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town, FTX)

Fun With LEGO® "Hot Wheels" (Pics)

I bought a bunch of the new little Racer sets (I affectionately call them "LEGO Hot Wheels":-) because they contain so many of the fun new elements, and my son Ross started playing around with them, and (URL) voila>.   Re: Implecations of 6 LEGO Units Thick Fence

(...) Well I decided to play around some more with it. And got a 3ldu offset and a 7ldu offset (both possible in studs up and SNOT 90). The same technique can make a protruding door (outset?) with 7ldu out or 3ldu out. All this assume I have my (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Alco-like Cuban Sugar Train

(...) I forgot to mention in the post (and to X-post to .schleim) that I've added the grille work separately to BS to make it easier to see the technique. You can find it in this (URL). Tim (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)
