  Re: Chirality

(...) Good stuff. Seems BrickWiki fodder! I would footnote that many paired parts are not TRULY enantiomers since the logos on the studs are not reversed. But that is a very unimportant footnote since they are functionally mirrored. (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.parts)

  Chirality

LEGO and chirality Chirality is the property of an object that can not be superimposed on its mirror image. Examples includes both natural (biological) object such hands and cultural (technical) object such screws. A non-chiral (achiral) object can (...)   Re: It's here.

(...) Sweet work Swami! Looking very good and a nice new train base idea. Glad you've got over your builders block in such fine fashion. Now if only you could compress it into six-wide it would be even better ;) Tim PS. S-lit (19 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim)

(URL) Deeplinks: (6 URLs) Full Gallery, post-mod: (URL) Well, it's been 5 months, and in the end, I got tired of trying to make a gearbox for this thing. The more I tried, the more frustruated I became, and as many over here have said, "If you're (...) A new minifig-scale bike of mine. This isn't going to be turned to scrap for quite a while! It incorporates a variety of pieces and SNOT. Please visit the MOCpage for pics: (URL) Please post any comments! -Josh (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX) !

  Re: A french BB 62400

Hello, (...) To complement on the SNOT techniques used in this BB62400, the bicolor version led to interesting challenges especially to render both bicolor ends of the locomotive in 4 studs width. After three different versions I ended-up with a (...) (19 years ago, 4-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: A french BB 62400

(...) Right, I can see it now. It's the tile on top that's offset a little because the stud it's on (the transparent brick) isn't in a natural position. Of course, it would probably have been simpler to use two clear 1x2 plates with a tile on top, (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: A french BB 62400

(...) I'm not sure but I think there's a misunderstanding there. (I've been not precise enough) There are two tiles and if the one in the side (SNOT mounted) of the engine has no offset, the one "stud up" has a 0.4 stud offset relatively to the (...)   Re: A french BB 62400

(...) This is a useful technique I and others have used before, but in this case it isn't actually necessary. Try putting a technic 1x1 brick with a half pin in it, or a 'dalek' brick (1x1 brick with studs on all sides) on top of the laid-down (...)
