(...) The methodology you used it pretty fresh man, bravo! But the more i look at it, the less i can see how this is a space ship. /runs -Lenny (22 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  24 Mosaic

Hey guys, I'm not sure how many of you are into this show, but it's pretty good, and fairly addictive. I made a mosaic of the logo while the show's on hiatus until the end of the month. Nothing special, but I think it's cool. (URL) 24 Mosaic> (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  6 Panel Mosaic

Here is a mosaic my son Ross (14) made for his sister (of her) for her 16th birthday. We are now trying to decide the best way to hang the thing:-/ The (URL) LUGNET Mosaic Maker> was used utilizing 6 colors.   Re: Panda Mosaic

Thanks for checking out and the kind words, means a lot from someone like yourself! Now that I think about it, you're right, it is "studs out". I did struggle for a long time trying to remember which is which and decided to just take the risk. :) I (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: Panda Mosaic

Nice work. Not that I any authoritative say about terminology, but I know that I, and a few others, would actually probably refer to that mosaic as 'studs out' (since the studs point out to the viewer when hung on a wall). I would say, 'studs up' (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Panda Mosaic

Hi, I invite you to view my latest mosaic creation. This a “studs-up” picture of a relaxing panda bear. It was made for one of my employees in New Mexico who then sent it off to a sick friend in Hawaii. I had a lot of fun both designing and building (...)   Re: Mosaic teaser / wallpaper

(...) That's awesome! It would be even awesomer if it fit my 2048 x 1536 desktop. 800x600 stretched to 2048x1536 starts looking like a mosaic itself. The recursive mosaic thing just hurts my head. :-) Derek (22 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Mosaic teaser / wallpaper

Hello. Here is a teaser photo of one of the headlight brick mosaics I'll be bringing up to Portland for BrickFest. I also find it makes a pleasing deskptop wallpaper, if you're so inclined.   Re: BrickFest PDX 2004 Mosaic Event

Derek, this sounds awesome. And the chosen image is great. Who doesn't feel safer with the Death Star hovering over the skyline to 'protect' us? @8^) Possible subtitle for the mosaic: "You may fire when ready." Thanks for organizing this, and mad (...)   BrickFest PDX 2004 Mosaic Event

BrickFest PDX 2004 Mosaic Event BrickFest PDX attendees will witness an attempt at an admirably audacious affair--the on-site construction of a huge LEGO mosaic built out of 1x1 LEGO plates. And everyone's invited to help--or even compete! That's (...)   Mosaics at BrickFest PDX

(...) They always felt, to me, as though they were made of a slightly different mix of plastic.... just a tiny bit softer. Perhaps so the thin stems don't break off? I'm not sure. Anyway... nice work!! All the best, Allan B. (23 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: Canadian Flag Flower Mosaic

(...) Thanks! Yes, the stems definitely don't 'stick' as well as normal pieces, but the way I have them arranged here results in them holding quite a bit better than when they are on their own. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

(...) snip (...) lol (...) I'd like to make a matching American flag but with the 13 stripes it would either have to have 13 rows, which would leave precious little room for the stars, or 26 rows (or more).
