| (...) Have you thought about screw extractors? You'll need a hole in the post, that means drill if head post doesn't already have a hole in it. | (...) You may be able to get away with a small self tapping screw instead of a screw extractor... drill a hole, screw in the screw (gently) and pull hard on the screw. (...) Definitely.
