  Re: Silver Stickers

(...) During the time I worked as a Copier Tech, 7 years, I learned toner is basically a plastic substance, with other magnetic material conbined. they use about 470 degrees (varies depending on MFG) to fuse the toner to the paper. So the principle (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Silver Stickers

(...) There's a process which (I believe) uses heat to transfer foil to toner. After making copies at Kinko's onto some trans sticker sheets you may yourself be able to apply some silver foil. I've never tried it, but this place has been selling (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Silver Stickers

I'm planning on using stickers to make some classic Castle "knight" minifigs (belt, silver vest), since for some reason TLC never made them in white or yellow. . .I assume designing the stickers should be easy---scan 'em in and touch 'em up the GIMP (...)   Re: Do we have a name for the new figs?

(...) How about Wirefigs? They're kinda wiry and umm... stuff. -- I think it'd be funny if someone egged Martha Stewart's house. (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Painting Minifigs

(...) Yup -- people have done it, and there have been some totally amazing things! Check this out, for example: (URL) made a Bill Gates Borg minifig yet? --Todd (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Tommy Gun (.45 Thompson SMG)

(...) Argh! Let him be cast out! 'cos I always thought that the point of Lego was to join it together by the studs... I've done a minifig Tommy-Gun too. Mine is a black classic space hand-held antenna/scanner/gun/whatever they were (OK, so the real (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: BYFMTWW: Bring Your Favorite Minifig To Work Week

(...) Howdy Folks. Sorry to bring up some critisism here but i have to say that i think Todd doesnt handle this correct. How could it happen that a celebration of _that_ importance could pass by without me recognizing it? Every day in office i took (...)   Re: Tommy Gun (.45 Thompson SMG)

Not bad, not bad at all, but it would be even better if you cut a round chunk out of the 2x2 round plate and glued it to the rifle, and then glued an angle handle in front of it... I might actually try that. Of course, I've probably given the (...) (24 years ago, 14-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Tommy Gun (.45 Thompson SMG)

Sometime ago, I posted an idea on making a "tommy gun" (the .45caliber Thompson submachinegun, the gun made infamous by its adoption by the, shall we say "participants", of the 1920s Mob Wars). I just realized that I never did post pictures of it. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.general)

Re: Need help with new member's Sig-Fig

(...) I have all of those parts, although it might take some digging to find the printed hair. I'll do it if no one else has a chance, but it'll take me a day or two to get to it. James (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Need help with new member's Sig-Fig

Hey gang, Jonathan McNeally is a new member among us at ye olde Castle World and he asked me if anyone could build a copy of his Signature Minifig and take a picture of it [in any castle or forest type setting].
