Silver Stickers

I'm planning on using stickers to make some classic Castle "knight" minifigs
(belt, silver vest), since for some reason TLC never made them in white or
yellow. . .I assume designing the stickers should be easy---scan 'em in and
touch 'em up the GIMP or some other graphics program.  What I'm wondering about
is printing.  Are there printers available (say, at Kinko's) that can print a
decent metallic silver (say on transparent sticker sheets)?

(...) There's a process which (I believe) uses heat to transfer foil to toner. After making copies at Kinko's onto some trans sticker sheets you may yourself be able to apply some silver foil. I've never tried it, but this place has been selling (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
