    Customised Superhero Minifig —Eric Joslin
Yet another project documented finally thanks to my new digital camera. Warning: This one involves painted LEGO elements. Well, one, anyway. But I did take the time to document how I did it. Those of you who took the time to look at my VW B3 page (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.announce)

(...) Very cool - customized head and all! What is the neck/backpack piece from? John member #388 (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Eric Joslin
(...) Thanks! (...) It's an old Space jetpack- I think from around the M-Tron era, but I'm not completely sure. The things that hold the swords are supposed to hold a couple of trans-antifreeze 1x1 cones to represent exhaust. It's an incredibly (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Daniel Allen
<snip> (...) <snip> Yep, really cool piece worn by an M:Tron in set #6704. I think they decided they had to give it to him because the Blacktron had that huge rocket thing :) -dead (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) I give it a 10 from 10. And yeah, those old style jet packs rock! =) -- Richard (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Eric Joslin
(...) Thanks! The one important piece of background that's missing is the sketch I have somewhere of Solitaire (as opposed to the cover of the Deadpool TPB I have up there)- it would give a better impression of the allowances I made for working in (...)         Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Mike Stanley
(...) minifig. I'm no purist myself - I've loved all the customized superhero minifig ideas. This is one of the better executed ones, imo. We tried to use Lego bricks and such for additional scenery for a while for our D&D campaign (minifigs never (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Eric Joslin
(...) Thanks! As a bit of a purist (I get itchy at the idea of making sails for some other projects I'm working on) it made me feel all dirty to modify the head. And not in the good way, like watching Cinemax late at night. (...) We used the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Nice, Eric! I think you really captured the spirit of Solitare nicely! The face painting came off very well indeed. Why did you choose to go the masking route instead of using a small brush and hand painting the way Craigo does? I'm not a (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Customised Superhero Minifig —Eric Joslin
(...) Thanks! (...) I used to paint gaming miniatures (both for wargames and role playing games) and I know from experience that it would be wicked hard to get the black eye patches symmetrical in freehand. Since it's such a smooth surface, I (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
