  Re: Armor!

(...) And Sir Jayko bravely ran away? (...) I guess he has to carefully select his battles, huh? Make sure it takes place during daylight hours in the lowest part of a relatively open meadow and such... (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Armor!

(...) Ha! ...so true! (...) That woulda been a nice choice... Coulda done a lot more with a royal/primary blue. (...) That would be truely funny! If only it worked that way... However, i have the impression that Jayko, "the wuss-blue-knight," quite (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  The Nightmare Before Christmas

  Re: Armor!

(...) I'm more partial to the term "wuss blue", though that probably comes from being a long-time fan of Legends of the Five Rings. Indeed, i too find that "Barbie Blue, a derisive term (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Here’s my attempt at some realism in armor…with some paint-fading technique. (Please (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Armor!

(...) Despite the fact that I vowed that Barbie Blue (a derisive term that I have single-mindedly championed) armor would not last in my house, it in fact, has. Mostly because I have only one example. I have lots of the green guy now and I've been (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Armor!

(...) Purple and green work pretty well too, if you have matching capes. Light blue needs a re-paints though. :-) -Elroy (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Armor!

(...) !My sentiments exactly...it's crazy how a simple dry-brushing of metallic silver over a black undercoat can create such dramatic realism... I pray...seriously pray that Bruce shows more of this type of conversion... Especially with the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)
