NBA Minifigs - New Legs and Arms

Got one of the small NBA sets yesterday, so I've had a chance to examine the minifig, and it's different from the standard minifigs. 1. Arm and hand are all one piece, so the hand does not rotate at the wrist. Presumbaly this is to make it easier (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Pics and Comments on New Adventurer Sets

(...) Tactlessly responding to my own post. Did I say "Tibetan?" obviously I meant "Sherpa", since the set name does refer to Mount Everest. (22 years ago, 15-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Pics and Comments on New Adventurer Sets

(...) <BIG SNIP of otherwise very good info> (...) Scans of the 4 minifigs from 7417, Temple of Mount Everest, are now at (URL) cool set, IMHO, despite the fact that it lacks many of the most fun of the new pieces -- unless you're really taken with (...)   Yak-Man lives

Had some friends over for Thanksgiving and came across a bag of Yak-Man figs that apparently I had set aside five years ago and had forgotten all about. Took these pictures over the weekend...   Re: MINIFIG HALL OF FAME WEBSITE !!!!

(...) Well, James, you're probably right, I should remove that page, but not right away. You see, I've worked an entire afternoon on the Hall of Fame logo and I'll remove it once i'm sure everybody got a good look at it :-) Thanks anyway for the (...)   Re: MINIFIG HALL OF FAME WEBSITE !!!!

Terry, Cool site! I like seeing all those familiar faces. My son and daughter have dismembered and reassembled all my minifigs, so I have to have a picture to remember what they looked like. One (minor) gripe: Site navigation. There is a link on the (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

MINIFIG HALL OF FAME WEBSITE !!!!

MINIFIG HALL OF FAME The project was an idea of Suzanne Rich, the co-founder of Lugnet. She did a poll some months ago and I never saw follow-ups. (URL) I asked her permission to take the project over. She agreed, saying she wouldn't have time to do (...) call me a num-nut, but the very first picture.. who is that supposed to be? the rest look awesome.. Gary Weaver can be officially pronounced to have "too-much-time-on-his-hands" to procude minifigs that look this amazing! and also, with the air of (...)   Movie Minifig Customs

Hi all, Anyone interested in customizing, or in action movies as rendered in Lego should check out this link: (URL) Weaver has made some incredible minifig customs of T2, RoboCop, the Rocketeer and others! Well worth it. stuart (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fun)

Re: Perfect shaped young Lego®-Lady needed?

(...) ;-)) (...) hehehe... It is made up very simple: the body is a 1x1x1 with technic hole. On top of that there is the head. Below there is a part 4081: (URL) to that there are the 1x2x0.33 tiles as legs. The arms are standard arms from minifigs. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Perfect shaped young Lego®-Lady needed?

(...) Hi Mattias! Thanks for your nice words on my beetle design. I made up the ML-CAD model as my very first one ever and so it comes totally without support in the inside: you cannot build it at at all. So all tricks are only used in the real (...) (...) Waist Watchers. It's also quite interesting to see a minifig who actually looks like they are in a believable sitting position with their butt on a bench and their feet on the ground.   Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

The real question lies not in skin tone, but as to how they will represent some of the more colorful characters in the NBA. Even with Rodman gone, we still have characters like Allan Iverson (famous for throwing his wife naked out of the house) and (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

(...) That's my assumption. The hands are kind of curved, probably to fit the round ball. (...) If you look at the card it says "Traded to Bucks".   Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

(...) I've played with the legs (someone had them in their posession at LEGOWORLD), but I can't remember if they were or not. Not like it matters though, the legs are made for the basketball game, not for use as regular poseable figs. -Tim (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: 2nd set of NBA minifigs, plus real life comparisons

(...) You know, they do look one piece. In fact, they kind of remind me more of Mega Block people then Lego people. Not to mention the heads look oversized. Hasta La Vista, Sean (22 years ago, 7-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs)
