My solution looked like this and I like this first time not-overweighted
minifig, so I wanted to share the idea:

That's a fascinating solution.  She could become the spokesmodel for Minifig
Waist Watchers.

;-))

It's also quite interesting to see a minifig who actually
looks like they are in a believable sitting position with their butt on a
bench and their feet on the ground.  Could you explain a little more about
the parts you used for the torso?  Though she looks lovely in all-black, it
makes it difficult to see what's between her knees.  So to speak.

hehehe...

It is made up very simple: the body is a 1x1x1 with technic hole. On top of
that there is the head. Below there is a part 4081:

http://www.rene-hoffmeister.de/1000steine/teilereferenz/4081.gif

Attached to that there are the 1x2x0.33 tiles as legs.

The arms are standard arms from minifigs. Connected to the 1x1x1-technic
brick and each other by a fitting axle (I used a part of a broken
miniantenna). That is not too sturdy though..... The diameter of the joint of
the minifigs arma is bigger than a normal antenna. So you cannot connect these
arms to a 1x1x1 lamp holder brick or the center hole of a technic peg. Maybe
someone else finds a better way to fix them?

I would tend to drill a pair of small holes into a 1x1x1 brick now. I have
such masses of them: I would not regret to 'destroy' them for a useful
purpose.... Still: I would prefer a pure Lego solution.

Oh, yeah, the cars look great, by the way!

Thanks!

Ben
